French made and of the highest quality, Miroir Brot mirrors have a reputation that precedes them, built up through most of the 20th century. We believe in this and all of our premier products. Our customers have come to expect the best from Boyd's and so we are committed to provide only the finest products available anywhere.

With roots in the heart of Paris, this fine maker has been turning out magnifying mirrors, wall mounted mirrors and more since at least 1927. It was then that Brot designed the first magnifying illuminated mirror. Today, of course it doesn't seem so revolutionary to magnify makeup mirrors, but in the 1920s it certainly was. Brot's innovation was intended for use on automobiles, but it soon became de rigueur in hotels and finer boudoirs all over the world.

Magnifying Mirrors, Brot and Boyd's

Dubbed the Mirophar, the first generation of Brot mirrors, designed with revolutionary spotlights that could keep magnifying mirrors from fogging up, was welcomed by ladies and gentlemen alike. No longer was it necessary to contend with a clouded view when shaving or applying make-up. Also, the spotlight provided a helpful source of light to make the task much easier.

Today, Brot still manufactures its fine products in Paris. Expert glassmakers and brass artisans follow the traditions of those who first realized how to magnify makeup mirrors, to complement the invention with light, and to retain excellence in overall design. Here at Boyd's, we are so pleased to be able to represent this fine maker. Browse the full line and place an order for your beautiful "looking glass" today.
